The Day the Earth Stood Still
ActionAdventureDramaSci-FiThriller104 min
Klaatu arrives on Earth as an envoy from a species that survived its own climate catastrophe, sent to judge whether humanity can stop the damage it has done to the planet. Keanu Reeves is the remote, unreadable messenger, whose attempt to address the United Nations is cut off by fearful officials and military force. As panic spreads and a giant robotic sentinel looms over the standoff, Jennifer Connelly is among the people trying to understand what he wants before Klaatu decides that saving Earth may mean eliminating humankind.
