Henri Savin has spent years managing a trucking company for his lover, Dominique Montlaur, but his decision to leave her for Julie Manet — now pregnant with his child — turns a private breakup into a police investigation. Dominique answers his plans with threats, public confrontations, and mounting desperation, until her death leaves Savin and Julie scrambling to explain what happened. Though Savin insists they had no direct hand in it, he also pushes Julie to lie to the police. Detective Waldeck begins digging into Dominique’s death, while the couple’s story grows harder to keep straight under pressure.
