Holy Year

ComedyCrime85 min

An aging gangster and his younger partner break out of prison with one goal: reach Rome and recover the loot they buried before they were caught. Jean Gabin is Max, a world-weary bank robber navigating the crowds and ceremony of the Catholic Holy Year of 1975, while Jean-Claude Brialy is the younger accomplice at his side. Their escape route doubles as a pilgrimage, sending the pair across Italy under the cover of religion while they chase hidden money and try to stay ahead of the authorities.
