MythBusters

DocumentaryMysteryReality TV43 min per episode

Rumors, movie stunts, urban legends, and odd bits of received wisdom become full-scale experiments as two special effects experts try to find out what actually holds up in the real world. In each episode, Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman build rigs, recreate scenarios, and push materials, machines, and people to their limits to test claims that range from everyday sayings to scenes that seem possible only on screen. As the trials get bigger, the process matters as much as the result: measurements, repeated tests, failed prototypes, and redesigned setups turn each myth into a hands-on investigation with a clear question and a definitive verdict.
