In a quiet corner of rural England, two friends spend their spare time sweeping metal detectors over fields, hoping the next faint beep will uncover a buried treasure. Most days bring bottle caps, old pull tabs, and long stretches of talk, but Andy and Lance keep chasing the idea that something valuable is still hidden under the soil. Their hobby pulls them into rivalries with another detectorist club, awkward negotiations with landowners, and the small frustrations of work, money, and relationships. Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones play the pair as their search keeps widening, turning ordinary fields and chance finds into the center of their lives.
