Friends with Kids
ComedyDramaRomance107 min
Watching their married friends buckle under parenthood in New York City, longtime friends Julie and Jason decide to try a different arrangement: have a baby together without becoming a couple. Jennifer Westfeldt's Julie and Adam Scott's Jason plan to split parenting while keeping their personal lives separate, even as the rest of their close-knit circle struggles with the strain kids have put on their relationships. Maya Rudolph and Chris O'Dowd are among the worn-down parents in the group, with Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm as another couple whose marriage looks different once children enter the picture. Dating other people soon makes Julie and Jason's neat experiment harder to keep in place.
