Peter Bretter heads to a Hawaiian resort to get over a breakup after his TV-star girlfriend, Sarah Marshall, leaves him for a famous rock singer. Jason Segel is Peter, a lovelorn musician whose carefully planned escape falls apart the moment Sarah (Kristen Bell) arrives at the same hotel with her new boyfriend, Aldous Snow (Russell Brand).
