The Court Jester
ActionAdventureComedyFamilyMusical101 min
In a medieval kingdom, a bumbling former carnival performer is swept into a rebel plot to topple a usurper and restore the infant rightful king. Disguised as a court jester, he sneaks into the castle to help an assassin reach the throne, but the job keeps slipping out of his hands as mistaken identities, secret signals, and romantic entanglements pile up around him. Danny Kaye’s hapless hero has to survive fencing lessons, royal schemes, and a hypnotic spell that turns him from coward to expert swordsman at exactly the wrong moments. Inside the court, every banquet, song, and ceremony becomes another chance for the plan to fall apart.
