Dracula: Dead and Loving It

ComedyFantasyHorror88 min

When a lawyer arrives at Count Dracula’s castle, he falls under the vampire’s spell and helps him search for fresh blood in London. Leslie Nielsen is the Count in Mel Brooks’s broad send-up of Dracula lore, while Brooks turns up as Professor Van Helsing, the doctor determined to stop him. Steven Weber and Peter MacNicol join the mounting confusion as the film riffs on Bram Stoker, the Bela Lugosi version, and Hammer-style Gothic horror with capes, cobwebs, blood rituals, and a steady stream of slapstick.
