The Promotion
Comedy86 min
At a Chicago-area grocery chain, two assistant managers see the same opening as their shot at a better life: the manager job at a new store. Doug works to look dependable and polished, while Richard, newly transferred and just as ambitious, turns the competition into a daily grind of small humiliations, forced smiles, and office politics. As both men try to impress corporate and outmaneuver each other, routine workplace problems become tests of loyalty, honesty, and how far each will bend to get ahead. Seann William Scott and John C. Reilly play rivals whose push for one promotion exposes the pettiness and pressure behind a very ordinary ladder.
