The Sinners of Hell
CrimeDramaHorrorThriller101 min
After a hit-and-run, Shigeru Amachi is a young theology student pulled into a widening chain of murder, revenge, adultery, and deceit. Utako Mitsuya and Yôichi Numata are among the people caught in the same tangle, as private betrayals and acts of violence start linking one story to the next. What begins in everyday scandal slips toward the supernatural, with a diabolical double shadowing the student and the guilty facing judgment. In this 1960 Japanese film, those intertwined lives end up at the Gates of Hell, where demons and punishment make their sins literal.
