In present-day Istanbul, Selim runs a small men’s clothing shop and shares a modest flat with his wife, young daughter, and elderly father, living by thrift, routine, and a reputation for honesty. A young widow in the neighborhood tries to draw his attention, but the event that upends his life comes in a taxi: a bag stuffed with roughly half a million dollars. Suddenly, a man with no patience for everyday trickery is left holding a fortune that isn’t his. Among the cast, Taner Birsel and Bennu Yildirimlar help ground the story in back-street storefronts, crowded apartments, and the pressures of family life.
