The Eighth Commissioner
ComedyDrama139 min
After a public scandal, rising politician Siniša Mesjak is shipped off to the remote island of Trečić, where the Croatian president gives him a job nobody else has managed to finish: organize local elections. Frano Masković is Siniša, an ambitious operator who arrives expecting a temporary exile and instead runs into a place that ignores the usual rules of the mainland. The task comes with a warning — seven commissioners have already failed before him. With Borko Perić among the ensemble around him, the film turns political damage control into a standoff between bureaucracy, local stubbornness, and one man’s belief that he can manage either.
