Mother Joan of the Angels

DramaHorrorMystery110 min

When a Polish priest is sent to a convent to save a Mother Superior said to be possessed by eight demons, the case turns into a struggle over faith, authority, and the supernatural. Lucyna Winnicka is Mother Joan, the nun at the center of the unrest, while Mieczysław Voit’s priest enters a cloistered world shaped by prayer, fear, and ritual. Loosely drawn from the 17th-century Loudun possessions, the film keeps its focus on the tense relationship between the exorcist and the woman he has come to cure.
