In a Turkish coastal town in 1990, the return of a man long presumed dead tears open a family’s oldest wound. Forty years earlier, Asaf was taken prisoner in war, and his brother Azmi had him declared dead so he could marry Nevin, the woman they both loved. When Nevin chooses to live with Asaf after his sudden reappearance, Azmi treats it as a public humiliation, and the feud spreads through the whole household. Old resentments, divided loyalties, and questions of honor turn private history into open conflict. Alongside the adults’ war of pride and memory, 13-year-old Arif falls for Bahar, then spirals into jealousy when a rival boy enters the picture.
