Hue and Cry

ActionAdventureComedyCrime82 min

When a London comic strip begins carrying hidden instructions for robberies, a gang of street boys realizes the criminals are using the paper itself as a code. Harry Fowler heads the young investigators as they chase the scheme through bomb-scarred postwar streets, with Alastair Sim among the flustered adults who have no idea the strip is being altered under their noses. The story moves between print-shop confusion, petty crooks, and kids picking their way across a city still marked by the war.
