The story

After winning gold for East Germany in the pentathlon, Dolph Lundgren is Eric Brogar, an elite athlete who defects to the West with help from an American competitor. Renée Coleman is the athlete who helps him escape, but Eric’s old coach, David Soul’s Heinrich Mueller, treats the defection as a personal betrayal and refuses to let it go. In Los Angeles, Eric tries to start over and train again, only to find his past catching up with him as Mueller brings a Cold War vendetta across the ocean.
