On Staten Island, newspaper reporter Grace Collier sees a brutal killing through a neighbor’s window and calls the police, certain she has witnessed murder. By the time anyone arrives, the apartment is spotless, the body is gone, and the woman Grace saw, Danielle Breton, insists nothing happened. As Grace keeps digging, she runs into evasive answers, unhelpful detectives, and a trail that leads back to Danielle’s troubled connection to her twin sister Dominique. What begins as a reporter chasing a crime turns into a maze of fractured identity, missing evidence, and mounting paranoia, with Jennifer Salt’s Grace trying to prove what she saw before the truth disappears again.
