Death of a Man in the Balkans
ComedyDrama80 min
A man dies alone in his Belgrade apartment, and the people in the building begin circling the body before anyone has even decided what should happen next. What starts as a death quickly turns into a cramped, uneasy gathering as neighbors, a prostitute, a musician, and other passersby drift in, each bringing their own needs, excuses, and performances. The apartment becomes a stage for gossip, opportunism, and small acts of mourning that may be sincere or may just be for show. As more people crowd the room, the film watches how a private death turns public, absurd, and uncomfortably revealing about everyone still alive.
