Color of Victory
Drama157 min
After the First World War, Istanbul is under occupation in the wake of the Armistice of Mudros, and Fenerbahce’s football team stands at the center of a story tied to the Harington Cup. Kubilay Aka and Nejat Isler are part of the ensemble in this Turkish historical drama, which places the club’s victory within a city living through political upheaval. With postwar tensions shaping life in Istanbul, the film connects a landmark moment in Turkish football to the larger atmosphere of occupation and change.
