Tears of Cem Karaca
Drama123 min
As Turkey changes around him, rock singer Cem Karaca pushes his music beyond entertainment and into open confrontation with the forces shaping the country. The film follows his rise from the stage to national fame as his songs begin to carry political weight, drawing loyal audiences as well as scrutiny. Success brings pressure from every side: public expectations, the cost of speaking plainly, and the strain that comes when an artist becomes a symbol. İsmail Hacıoğlu stars as Karaca in a portrait of a musician whose career and personal life are pulled into the wider conflicts of his time.
