The Daytrippers
ComedyDrama87 min
After finding a mysterious love note addressed to her husband, Eliza D'Amico heads from Long Island to Manhattan with her entire family in tow to confront him. Hope Davis is Eliza, rattled but determined, while Stanley Tucci's Louis remains the absent center of the day's suspicion. Packed into a station wagon are Eliza's blunt mother, quiet father, her jaded sister Jo (Parker Posey), and Jo's self-serious boyfriend, turning the search into a chain of arguments, chance encounters, and old grievances. What starts as a marital crisis becomes a one-day portrait of a family that can't stop needling one another.
