The Eagle Has Landed

ActionAdventureDramaThrillerWar135 min

Late in 1943, when the Nazi high command learns that Winston Churchill will be spending time at a country estate in Norfolk, it sets in motion an audacious plan to kidnap him and force negotiations with Hitler. Michael Caine is Colonel Kurt Steiner, the officer placed at the center of the operation, while Donald Sutherland’s Liam Devlin, an Irishman drawn into the scheme, works on the ground in England. Robert Duvall’s Colonel Max Radl helps direct the mission from the German side as the plot moves from military planning rooms to the English countryside under wartime strain.
