Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

Drama131 min

A late-night visit to a history professor’s home turns into a public unravelling when George and Martha pull a younger couple into the rituals of their marriage. Richard Burton’s George, dry and evasive, trades barbs with Elizabeth Taylor’s Martha, whose taunts keep pushing the evening further. Their guests — new faculty member Nick (George Segal) and Honey (Sandy Dennis) — arrive for drinks and become drawn into flirtation, resentment, and private humiliations as old wounds surface over one long night. In a university-town house with nowhere to hide, every game between host and guest starts to feel personal.
