On a Caribbean island, the murder of a fashion model sends her sister looking for answers and toward a rat-like creature hidden behind the rumors. Janet Agren is among the figures caught up in the investigation, with David Warbeck turning up as the mystery widens around the island’s secluded corners and uneasy locals. Rat Man shifts from fashion-world glamour to bloodier ground, folding a murder setup into creature horror and exploitation-movie excess. The tropical setting, the string of violent discoveries, and the lurking rat-human presence give the film its strange, pulpy shape.
