Vincere

DramaRomanceWar128 min

In early 20th-century Italy, Ida Dalser begins a passionate relationship with Benito Mussolini and stakes her future on the man she believes she will marry. As his political rise gathers force, the private bond she insists is real becomes a public danger to him. Ida fights to have her marriage and their son acknowledged, but the more she presses for recognition, the more completely she is pushed aside. What starts as a love story turns into a struggle against erasure, with institutions closing ranks around a new national image. Giovanna Mezzogiorno and Filippo Timi anchor a drama about obsession, power, and the cost of being written out of history.
