Airline security specialist John Cutter is returning to work after his wife’s death when a flight from Florida to Los Angeles is hijacked by notorious terrorist Charles Rane. Wesley Snipes is Cutter, an ex-cop whose trip turns into a midair standoff once Rane breaks free and takes control of the cabin. Bruce Payne’s Rane is cold and calculating, forcing Cutter to work around hostages, armed men, and a plane with nowhere to land. Tom Sizemore figures into the pressure from the law-enforcement side as the crisis stretches from the aisle to the runway.
