The 36th Chamber of Shaolin
ActionAdventureDrama116 min
In 17th-century Qing China, a young man is swept into a brutal conflict under Manchu rule and flees to the Shaolin Temple in search of refuge and a way to fight back. Inside the monastery, he enters a punishing course of discipline, moving through chamber after chamber where each lesson tests a different skill, from balance and endurance to focus and restraint. As San Te trains, the goal is not just survival or mastery for its own sake. He wants the strength to return to the outside world and resist oppression, but first he must prove himself within a rigid order that was not built for his purpose.
