Excalibur
ActionAdventureDramaFantasyRomance141 min
In a brutal medieval Britain, the wizard Merlin helps bring forth Excalibur, the sword that puts Arthur on the throne and unites the kingdom. Peace does not last. As Arthur builds the Round Table, loyalty frays inside the court: Lancelot and Guenevere are drawn to each other, old rivalries harden, and Morgana watches for her chance to strike at Camelot from within. Battles, betrayals, and quests follow as the kingdom Arthur created starts to crack under desire, pride, and magic. Nigel Terry stars as Arthur, with Helen Mirren as Morgana in a sweeping retelling of the legend that moves from the sword in the stone to the fall of the king’s dream.
