Gerard Butler is George, a former soccer star whose career and finances have gone sideways by the time he volunteers to coach his young son’s team. What begins as a practical step toward getting his life together becomes a chance to reconnect with his son and with his ex-wife (Jessica Biel), who has built a steadier life without him. Centered on family strain and youth-league sidelines, the film follows George as he tries to show up consistently, repair old damage, and figure out what kind of father he can be.
