That Awkward Moment

ComedyRomance94 min

When their newly separated friend rejoins the singles scene, three close friends make a pact to stay unattached—and immediately complicate it by stumbling into serious relationships they keep from one another. Zac Efron is Jason, the self-assured architect of the agreement, while Miles Teller’s Daniel treats dating like a joke he can stay one step ahead of. As Jason’s unexpected connection with Ellie begins to upset the rules, the film follows the trio through hookups, evasions, and the strain that sets in when their loyalty to each other collides with what they want from the people they’re seeing.
