The Narrow Margin
CrimeDramaThriller72 min
A police escort turns into a rolling trap when Detective Sergeant Walter Brown has to get a gangster’s widow from Chicago to Los Angeles before she can testify before a grand jury. Charles McGraw is Brown, a blunt cop trying to keep control of a train full of strangers while mob killers close in. Marie Windsor’s Frankie Neall isn’t an easy witness to protect, and the trip becomes a cat-and-mouse chase through sleeping cars, compartments, and crowded aisles. Jacqueline White appears as a fellow passenger caught up in Brown’s increasingly precarious assignment.
