CrimeDramaThriller140 min
Matt Damon is Bill Baker, an Oklahoma oil-rig roughneck who heads to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter Allison (Abigail Breslin), imprisoned for a murder she says she didn’t commit. Out of place in France and shut out by language barriers, cultural differences, and a legal system he doesn’t understand, Bill turns the trip into his own off-the-books investigation. As he chases any lead that might help Allison, he begins to build an unexpected daily life in the city and a connection with a local woman, played by Camille Cottin.
