In the 17th century, a young woman spared from execution is taken to a remote priory to repent, only to find that the sanctuary holds a greater evil behind its walls. Rosie Day is the accused newcomer, entering a secluded religious house where women have come to atone for their pasts. At the center is Clare Higgins’s Reverend Mother, whose offer of refuge carries its own menace. As terrifying visions begin to overtake the priory, the film leans into candlelit corridors, austere ritual, and the clash between faith, guilt, and something monstrous hiding inside the convent.
