Helen Crevel is Adeline Gray, who flees bombing and takes shelter in a derelict manor deep in the woods. When her young daughter disappears, a string of inexplicable events leads Adeline to suspect that a doll in the house holds the vengeful soul of a murdered witch. Her search through the isolated estate turns into a fight with something that seems to be watching, guiding, and trapping her at every step. Philip Ridout and Layla Watts co-star in this British horror story built around a missing child, a haunted object, and a house with its own buried menace.
