It Happened to Jane
ComedyRomance97 min
In a small-town Maine lobster business, Jane Osgood is trying to keep her company afloat when a railroad’s carelessness ruins a shipment and threatens her livelihood. Instead of quietly taking the loss, she decides to fight back in court against the powerful executive responsible, turning a local dispute into a very public battle. As the case grows, so does the attention around her, and the campaign to save her business pulls in her young son and a lawyer who becomes more than just legal help. Doris Day and Jack Lemmon anchor a story where civic pride, bad publicity, and a stubborn streak keep pushing a simple claim into something much bigger.
