After a citywide blackout swallows Detroit, most of the population simply vanishes, leaving behind abandoned cars, heaps of clothes, and a few shaken survivors. Hayden Christensen and Thandiwe Newton are among the strangers who regroup in a half-lit tavern on 7th Street, where candles, flashlights, and the first hint of dawn become a matter of survival. As the darkness outside stretches longer and presses closer, the group tries to piece together what happened while their remaining light sources burn down.
