The Flintstones

ComedyFamilyFantasy91 min

Fred Flintstone’s effort to help his best friend adopt a child sets off bigger problems when a company test suddenly lifts him from quarry worker to executive at Slate & Company. John Goodman is Fred, the blustering dad at the center of Bedrock, with Rick Moranis’s Barney Rubble trying to repay the favor that put his friend in the spotlight. As Fred becomes tangled in a scheme above his pay grade, Wilma (Elizabeth Perkins) and Betty (Rosie O’Donnell) hold the two families together. The live-action take on the cartoon keeps its Stone Age suburb full of dinosaur-powered gadgets, rock-pun business names, and oversized domestic chaos.
