Bean

ActionAdventureComedyFamily89 min

Mr. Bean, a bumbling watchman at London’s Royal National Gallery, is shipped off to Los Angeles as the museum’s “ambassador” for the unveiling of Whistler’s Mother, largely because his bosses hope the trip will get rid of him. Rowan Atkinson brings Bean’s blank-faced chaos into a very formal art-world setting, where curator David Langley (Peter MacNicol) mistakes him for a distinguished expert and stakes his job on the visit. Between airport arrivals, gallery mishaps, and time spent in Langley’s home, Bean turns a high-profile California museum event into a chain of increasingly awkward disasters.
