In 2047, a rescue crew heads to Neptune to investigate the Event Horizon, a starship that vanished on its maiden voyage and has suddenly reappeared seven years later. Laurence Fishburne's Miller commands the mission, and Sam Neill is Dr. William Weir, the ship's designer, brought along to explain the experimental drive that may have carried it through a black hole. Once aboard, the team finds a derelict vessel littered with signs of catastrophe as strange visions, religious imagery, and bursts of violence suggest the ship has brought something back with it.
