The Lady Hermit

ActionAdventureDramaRomance105 min

A young kung fu student sets out to find a reclusive master who can teach her to defeat the Black Demon, only to discover that the servant woman she befriends is the teacher she’s been hunting. Led by Szu Shih and Lo Lieh, this 1971 Hong Kong story folds martial-arts training into demon-quelling folklore and hidden-identity intrigue. When the Black Demon’s henchmen close in, the hermit finally steps forward and begins training her new pupil. The arrival of another student, also seeking instruction, draws romance and rivalry into the fight.
