Inspector “Dirty” Harry Callahan is back in San Francisco, where the murders of several high-profile figures point to a macabre betting game built around predicting celebrity deaths. Clint Eastwood is Harry Callahan again, following the case with his usual disregard for polished procedure, while Evan C. Kim’s Al Quan works beside him as the investigation pulls in film-world connections, press attention, and a killer using the so-called dead pool as a blueprint. As the list of targets grows, Harry has to track down whoever turned a private game into a public murder spree.
