In Hong Kong, two best-friend cops find their case turning into a media circus when a news reporter (Ann Bridgewater) starts filming them for a documentary. Stephen Chow and Jacky Cheung are the partners at the center of it, chasing a murderous arms dealer while also jockeying for the best angles, the most attention, and the reporter’s affection. The police plot and the rivalry move side by side, with gunfights and pursuit scenes constantly undercut by bruised pride, one-upmanship, and the awkwardness of being watched.
