Stephen Chow is Sing, a guileless young man with a supernatural knack for seeing through objects who arrives to visit his uncle Tat and stumbles into a very different use for his gift. Once Tat catches on, Ng Man-Tat’s fast-talking hustler turns Sing into the “Saint of Gamblers,” pushing him into Hong Kong’s gambling world, where card tables, cheats, and streetwise schemes quickly pile up. The film threads Sing’s oddball powers through broad comedy and crime caper chaos, with Sandra Ng in the mix as the scams get bigger and Tat’s ambitions keep growing.
