After rescuing a 12-year-old Chinese girl from kidnappers, former elite agent Luke Wright is thrown into a New York City standoff involving Triads, the Russian Mafia, and corrupt politicians and police. Jason Statham is Luke, a bruised protector suddenly responsible for Mei, the quiet child at the center of the chase; Catherine Chan’s Mei becomes the key target for every side closing in. As gang bosses, mob enforcers, and compromised cops converge, Luke has to keep Mei alive while fighting through a city where nearly everyone seems to be working for someone else.
