The Last Stand
ActionAdventureCrimeDramaThrillerWestern107 min
Former LAPD officer Ray Owens has traded Los Angeles for a quieter job as sheriff of the border town of Sommerton Junction. Arnold Schwarzenegger is Owens, pulled back into a full-scale manhunt when escaped drug lord Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega) races toward town with a hostage and a crew of mercenaries, aiming for Mexico before the FBI can stop him. As federal agents close in, Forest Whitaker’s Agent Bannister realizes the last chance to intercept Cortez is in Owens’s patch. What starts as routine small-town policing turns into roadblocks, heavy weapons, and a standoff at the edge of the border.
