Kevin Hart anchors the story as a parent learning by trial and error, often under the watch of family, friends, and strangers who all have opinions about how he’s doing. Melody Hurd is the little girl at the center of it all, with Alfre Woodard and Lil Rel Howery among the people orbiting their makeshift routine.
