Patrolling the streets of Reno with a camera crew in tow, a sheriff’s department tries to handle calls, traffic stops, stakeouts, and office routine with very little competence. Each episode follows deputies as small incidents spiral into awkward confrontations, bad decisions, and official procedures nobody seems able to carry out correctly. The mock-documentary setup turns routine police work into a steady parade of public meltdowns, petty crimes, and embarrassments caught on tape. Created by and featuring Thomas Lennon and Kerri Kenney-Silver, the series spoofs law-enforcement reality shows by treating every busted call and botched investigation with dead-serious urgency.
