When teen mutant Rogue and the drifter Wolverine are brought to a private school for the gifted, they land in the middle of a fight over how mutants should live alongside humanity. Patrick Stewart is Professor Charles Xavier, who has gathered the X-Men to protect both humans and their own kind, while Ian McKellen’s Magneto leads a more militant response to fear and persecution. Hugh Jackman gives Wolverine a bruised, wary presence as he and Rogue are pulled into Xavier’s orbit, joining Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey against a threat built from the same extraordinary powers.
