Iron Man
ActionAdventureSci-Fi126 min
After terrorists capture him in Afghanistan, weapons manufacturer Tony Stark returns home with a new purpose: build a suit of armor powerful enough to survive the world his company helped arm. Robert Downey Jr. is Stark, a billionaire engineer whose wit and swagger run headfirst into the consequences of his own technology, while Gwyneth Paltrow’s Pepper Potts keeps close watch on the man behind the machine. Jeff Bridges circles the story as Stark’s longtime business partner Obadiah Stane. Jon Favreau’s film treats the origin in practical terms—missiles, workshops, metal plating, and a prototype assembled piece by piece.
